Paper Towns Review

Paper Towns Review

Paper Towns directed by Jake Schreier is a film adaptation of John Green's novel with the same name Paper Towns. This film is about young Quentin Jacobsen (Nat Wolff) and his friends who embark on a life changing road trip to find the missing girl next door, Margo Roth Spiegelman (Cara Delevingne). Throughout this trip they learn what real friendships are made of and how sometimes you need to run away to find yourself.

This film was both charming and hilarious. I love how it wasn't just about love for a significant other but it was as much about Quentin's friendship with his two best friends as it was his love for Margo. Also it isn't your conventional way of falling in love and doing everything you can to be with that person. I have not personally read the book so I had no idea what was going to happen but I will say that this movie isn't what you think it is.

Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne were the two leads in Paper Towns. They were both exceptional in this movie. It's the first time we've really seen Cara in a big-time movie because we're all used to seeing her on the runway. As for Nat we've seen him in The Fault In Our Stars, Stuck in love and the show he did with his brother The Naked Brothers Band. They both portrayed the characters very well, while being true to the book's character but also being able to add their own touch to the role.

The music in the movie was very modern and related well to the whole atmosphere of the movie. It didn't have it's own score but it did have a soundtrack which featured the likes of Vampire Weekend, HAIM and even Nat & Alex Wolff.

So if you are looking for a fun, coming of age movie to see, I would highly recommend seeing Paper Towns. I would give this an 8/10!!!
